Paws or Claws: for Reaganomics

Trump’s tax plan can be good for everyone in the United States. The bill will cut income tax rates, lowering the top rate to 35 percent. It will double the standard deduction. It will give families and businesses more money to spend.

The plan increases the child tax credit to an unspecified amount and will increase the income level so more middle-income families can take advantage of the credit.

Although Trump’s new tax plan would boost economic growth, it could add as much as  $7 trillion to the debt over the next decade. The National debt is already at $20,427,385,000,000 and counting, so $7 trillion over a decade however, won’t hurt us too much.

The bill makes us more competitive as a country. The plan would reduce the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 20 percent. American companies are outsourcing because tax rates in other countries aren’t as high as they are here. If the bill is passed, more companies will come back to America to build more factories which can create many new jobs.

People may say that the tax plan is favoring the rich. That is not true. The tax plan will benefit the rich because they are the ones who are creating more jobs in America. They will spend their money on American soil rather than overseas. Therefore, those high class citizens will put more money into small businesses and in turn increase revenue.

With the new tax plan the first 24,000 dollars of income would not be subject to taxes whereas nowadays it is your first 12,700. For low income families this is a huge bonus. If someone makes 24,000 or less a year they are not subject to paying taxes.

The tax plan is for everyone. It is unbiased to your political affiliation. The Republicans are proposing the bill but they are not the only ones who will benefit from it. Not all republicans are rich and not all democrats are poor.

Many people who consider themselves part of the left movement will not agree with this tax plan simply because it is coming from Trump. That makes no sense because rich democrats will benefit just like the rich republicans will. The bill requires bipartisan support to be passed.
