The plot to Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens, has not been fully released yet since the full movie does not come to theaters until Dec. 18. That being said, supposed “spoilers” are plentiful throughout the great wide web (Primarily www.CinemaBlend.com). Here’s what (we think) we know:

Characters: With a new generation of movies comes a new generation of characters. The new heroes consist of Rey (Daisy Ridley), a scavenger on the planet Tatoi…I mean “Jakku” (only one sun this time) and Finn (John Boyega), a renegade Stormtrooper. We also get to see some old friends including Han Solo (Harrison Ford), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels), and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew). There will be new baddies like Darth Vader fanboy Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Snoke (Andy Serkis), Supreme Leader of the First Order.

Who’s who: We have new sides to pick from! When the Galactic Empire fell due to the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, a new military organization known as the First Order, rose from the ashes. These are the bad guys. The good guys are no longer the Rebel Alliance but rather the Resistance. Organized by General Leia, the Resistance exists for the purpose of keeping the baddies of the universe in check. Recap: First Order= Not good dudes. Resistance= Good dudes. Seems simple enough.

Scenery: Outside of Jakku (New Tatooine), we don’t know the names of any of the other planets. There’s some kind of dark snowy place as well with another random forest where we see Finn and Kylo Ren about to face off in a lightsaber duel. Long story short, director JJ Abrams is going to give us lots of foliage to look at.

Plot: (Truth be told we don’t know anything for sure. Thankfully there’s this internet thingy and lots of people seem to have some decent spoilers for us. IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN, DON’T READ THIS!) This movie takes place 30 years after the destruction of the Death Star II. According to numerous websites it seems that the movie focuses on finding Luke and the lightsaber that he lost when his hand was cut off by Darth Vader at the end of Episode V (And you probably complain when your parents won’t let you use your phone until you finish your homework). Finn, one of the new mains, is a runaway Stormtrooper who supposedly crashes onto the desert planet Jakku where our other protagonist, Rey, is some kind of scavenger (main character living on a desert planet…where have we seen his before…? Oh. Right.) At some point we get to meet Kylo Ren. Kylo is a member of the Knights of Ren, a group of force sensitive beings who model themselves after the Sith. We don’t know exactly what his role is but from head to toe he just screams new trilogy bad dude so I suspect we’re going to see more of him. The new bad guy toy seems to be named Starkiller Base and it’s worth a guess to assume that at some point the Resistance is going to try and blow it up. That’s how these movies work.
