Being a teenage girl is honestly pretty miserable. I’ve noticed throughout social media how girls are treated differently than men and the biggest victim of all is teenage girls. A teenage girl can’t like anything without being labelled as “obsessed” “boy crazy” “basic” “wannabe” “pick me” “try hard”. No matter what a girl does, she’ll be judged for it. Being a Mexican teenager I’ve noticed it even more. Men are expected to simply show up and be present and get praised for it while women could clean, cook, get perfect grades, get promoted at work, but let them make one little mistake and it’s like every other amazing thing they’ve done is thrown out the window. I hope this new generation raises their kids differently and teaches them how we should all be equal and held to the same standard.
