Madison Medin Semega, Online Editor In Chief & Photographer
Hi! My name is Madison Medin Semega, and I am the Online Editor In Chief and Photographer for “The Paw Print” this year. I am 16 years old and currently a junior at Plainfield South High School.
I decided to take journalism my sophomore year because I wanted to explore another style of writing. I have always been interested in writing as a whole; creative writing, news stories, opinion pieces, and everything in between. Writing has been a passion of mine since elementary school, and it has been my way of expressing myself. If I hadn’t decided to explore a different style of writing, then I would have never discovered that I have such a deep connection with journalism and the people within the program.
In my free time, I like to write, read, listen to music, craft, take pictures, spend time with my friends and family, and bake. Some of my favorite authors are Rick Riordan, Lynn Painter, Nora Roberts, William Shakespeare, and Homer. Music-wise, the artists I listen to often are Hozier, Laufey, Conan Gray, Katseye, and Paramore.
While I’ve been attending PSHS, I have been involved in student council, speech team, badminton, flag football, and the fall play. This is my first year being an official staff member of “The Paw Print,” and I’m so excited to contribute to the paper!
