Captain America is right

When comparing Captain America and Iron Man, there is no doubt that Captain America triumphantly outranks Iron Man.
Captain America has experienced pain loss and understands what it’s like not to always have everything in the palm of his hand. Iron Man is the complete opposite and shadowed his father, Howard Stark, who was also a famous inventor.
For one, Captain America donated his body to research to become the first avenger, giving the Allied forces a chance to defeat the Red Skull and the Germans. Not just anyone could hand themselves over to receive that privilege; he was picked by Dr. Abraham Erskine because of his pure heart. It was a factor that would determine what he would become after the serum was injected in him.
After defeating the Red Skull he crashed the plane in the ocean, which was carrying bombs that were meant to be dropped on New York City, and was frozen for many decades. When he first woke up, the audience could see the struggle he was having on letting go of the people he cared about. Steve Rodgers continues to bring this past life up in order to help better himself and help better the country he loves.
On the other hand, it seems Tony Stark can only think about the future and not is past mistakes. Specifically when creating Ultron, which was the basis of the plot for Avengers 2.
Even after ‘coming’ back to life, he joined a team of other powerful individuals to defeat a greater evil, who at the time was an individual from the realm Asgard named Loki.

The only reason he had to save himself was because he owned Stark Industry which sold the best weapons to terrorists. Some of those terrorists decided to capture him so he could personally make nuclear weapons for them. He just so happened to use the suit to help others after that incident.
Captain America does not just have the heart, he also has the physical capability that deems one to claim the title of a superhero. Unlike Iron Man, he does not hide behind a metal suit when fighting. He is able to fight in hand to hand combat.
In Civil War, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, Falcon, Winter Soldier, and the Scarlet Witch accompany Captain America against Team Ironman. One thing that Team Captain America has in common is sticking up for what they believe in, and what will continue to have a greater
