Ideas for Summer Vacation 2016

Marissa Finley, Staff Writer

• One great idea is Brookfield Zoo. It is open all summer long and have general admission under twenty dollars.
• Another idea is Downtown Naperville. Whether it is just walking around the riverwalk or going to Centennial beach, Naperville is filled with lots to do.
• Downtown Chicago is yet another year-round hit, but it is better to walk around when the weather is nice, which means that you get more excercize! The Bean, Water Tower and finishing off with the Cheesecake Factory are just some exciting to-dos.
• This summer, there are also plenty of concerts to attend. Some include Lollapalooza in Chicago, The Summer Bash, hosted by B96 at the Allstate Arena, or the Vans Warped Tour at Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre, on Saturday, July 23.
• Some other ideas include outdoor malls like the Promenade, Downtown Plainfield, going out to eat, or visiting a beach.
• Cubs and Sox games are going on all throughout the summer for all the sports fans out there.
• If you’re ever looking for something free and simple, there are places like Hamell Woods or Starved Rock to walk around and get some exercise.
