Plainfield hosts helpful how-to-fair

District 202 held its annual How-To fair on Nov. 4 in the Village Hall, located in Downtown Plainfield on Lockport Street. The event helped expand people’s knowledge on learning new material.
The fair was held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festivities in the morning ranged from how to decorate cupcakes like a pro, use social media for parents, make quick and healthy snacks, and even make holiday bows.

The festival didn’t only focus on craft related workshops, but offered other options such as fitness, blogging, navigation, self-defense, and yoga.
In the afternoon, more workshops opened in different areas of the town. The Plainfield Library and the Plainfield Community center offered a variety of decorating, and minor engineering opportunities such as building robotic monkeys.

Each of the 30 individual workshops lasted for an hour long. While the event lasted for six hours, it granted the ability to move around and get involved.
Described as being fun and informing on the brochure, the event continues to draw in local people and engage them to a world of new and exciting information. Be sure to visit next November.
