Juicehead Smoothie Bar and Cafe: good smoothies but overpriced

Delaney O'Sullivan, News Editor

Juicehead Smoothies and Café opened recently in Downtown Plainfield, offering a variety of smoothies and juices as well as bagels.

It is located in the same building as the restaurant Sovereign but it was a bit difficult to find the entrance because the door is on the side of the building towards the back. However, they do have signs to guide you.

Although there are couches, it seemed that they had removed most indoor seating due to COVID-19 restrictions. The infusion of black, white, and brown colors gave the café a sleek, modern ambiance.

There is only one size option available which is a 16oz and the menu has many clever and creative names. I ordered the “Peach Fuzz” smoothie which was on the specialties list. It had banana, yogurt, peach, pink pitaya powder, choice of milk, turbinado, and was topped with raspberries, chocolate pieces, and granola. It was an enjoyable smoothie, however, I feel like it wasn’t something that couldn’t be recreated at a different location.

The smoothie I ordered costs nine dollars which is expensive, especially for a high school student. For something that wasn’t totally unique, I’d rather go to a different smoothie bar and order the same thing for cheaper.
