College Football Projections

As the 2015-2016 College Football Season has been going on for a few weeks now, a few teams seem to be front runners to being one of the four to make the College Football playoffs.

Ohio State: The Buckeyes look to repeat their championship success from last year. However this is no feat as a scare in week three against Northern Illinois almost dealt OSU their first loss. They must also choose a starting quarterback between J.T. Barret and Cardale Jones. Their schedule seems to give them smooth sailing until week twelve when they challenge #2 Michigan State Spartans (a team that South Teacher, Derek Christiansen likes to make it to the playoffs) .

LSU: Louisiana State is riding high after they manhandled Auburn in week three. Their running back Leonard Fournette showed a Heisman-worthy performance when he ran for 228 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Tigers, however, possess a tough road ahead of them as play number twelve Alabama and later number three Ole Miss.

Ole Miss: With an impressive away victory over Alabama, the Rebels are tied as the number three college team in the country. Nearly every aspect of the team looked impressed, most notably Chad Kelly at the quarterback position. The major games that remain for Ole Miss include number seventeen Texas A&M and number eight LSU. Ole Miss also has some support at South, as senior Andy Bhatia said, “I’m going to have to go with Ole Miss (to win the Championship)”.

TCU: Texas Christian University’s disappointment with the decision last year to keep them out of the College Football Playoffs will serve as great motivation for their push to make it this year. With the addition of quarterback Kenny Hill from Texas A&M, the Horned Frogs will be a force to be reckoned with. Their first major challenge will probably not come until the last week of the regular season when they play number five Baylor, who also look to make it to the playoffs.

This season already seems to be one of great competition, offering competitive teams and games to any fan of college football.
