Hi! My name is Allyson Walker, the news editor for the Paw Print this year! I am 17 years old and in my senior year of Plainfield South High School.

Before junior year, I decided to take Journalism 1 in order to expand my knowledge, as well as my writing skills. Writing has always been something I enjoyed and became passionate about since I was a little girl. I would have never known this class would become everything to me, as our little team has become a second family!

In my spare time I love to read, listen to music, take pictures, and hang out with  my friends. My favorite book genres to read are rom coms and fantasy romance. As for music, I enjoy a range of genres from r&b, kpop, and indie music. Enhypen and NCT are my favorite bands to listen to.

In my time in PSHS, I have now played on the golf team for four years. I treasure my experiences on the course, as well as the bond I have with my teammates. This year I will also be attending the newspaper club!

I can’t wait to see what this position holds for me!
