Q: Why did you join Key Club?

A: I joined Key Club because I wanted to work towards having an impact and making a difference in the world! Our motto in Key Club is “Leave the world a better place than you found it”, and when I first heard that, it really resonated with me. I want to speak up and advocate for students because our voices can be powerful, and Key Club is the perfect opportunity for that! I also love giving back to my community, and volunteering really helps me further my kindness in the world.

Q: How would you describe what Key Club is like?

A: Key Club is like a breath of fresh air. All of the students are heavily involved, and it is mostly student-run. Everyone shares ideas, creates projects, and does anything to further our positive influence. Everyone there is beyond welcoming and kind, which is another reason why I really love it. You fit in no matter what, and working together helps strengthen us all.

Q: What is Key Club about?

A: Key Club promotes community service, leadership, and character building. We just love giving back to the community and those less fortunate. Sometimes we will all go to Feed My Starving Children or make sack lunches for our custodians. Key Club is an amazing, fun club that anyone is able to join. However, since it is also an official International high school club, members will need to pay the dues of $20 as well as complete at least 40 hours of community service by next September, but it is way easier than you think, and it shouldn’t discourage anyone from joining.

Q: What impact has Key Club had on you?

A: Key Club has had a huge impact on me and who I am today. It has not only helped me build my confidence and improve my leadership skills, but it has also taught me how to take charge and take action. It has taught me that every day is an opportunity for change. So getting out of my comfort zone, meeting new people, and overall expanding my reach of help toward our school and community has been phenomenal.

A: 5. Just being a part of Key Club can make all the difference, so if anyone is interested in learning more about Key Club, or debating joining, they are more than welcome to come to me or any of our board! We are always happy to have new members, as that expands our impact.
