Q:What is training/practice like?
A:We’re always trying to work on spares all the time.
Q:What are spares?
A:In spares, you see all of the pins, and then you throw the ball and there’s some pins left over. So, we’re trying to get those pins. And if you get those pins, that counts as a spare, which is like the dash sign you get if you do hit them.
Q:Who’s someone that you look up to on your team?
A:Someone I look up to is my friend, Anna; she’s really nice, she’s pretty good and she’s a senior.
Q:How or why did you start bowling?
A:I heard about it, and my friends and I decided to do it for fun. Then, I started going all competitive a little bit, so I stuck around.
Q:What advice would you give to someone who wanted to try bowling?
A:You should for sure join. It’s actually really fun. You could make a lot of new friends. It’s also a place to learn about a completely new sport because it’s absolutely different from most sports.
Q:How long have you been bowling?
A:I’ve been bowling for 3 years now, since freshman year.
Q: What’s been your biggest challenge in the sport?
A:My biggest challenge in this sport is trying to improve on my form in bowling. I’m working on throwing the ball well and picking up the spares.
Q: What is a goal you have in the season?
A:A goal I have is to raise my high score, which I can only do if I get more strikes and spares..
Q:What’s your high score currently?
A:Two-Oh-Nine.
Q: What’s your favorite part of the sport?
A:My favorite part is talking with my friends, of course.
Q:Do you plan to pursue bowling in the future?
A:Maybe if I get really good at it, or if I get scouted.
Q:Do you have anything else you’d like to add?
A:No, I’m good.
